An Introduction to working with charcoal & suitable for all levels...
Please join me in my studio, where I will share with you, my experience, techniques and knowledge of drawing with charcoal for almost 40 years as a fulltime professional artist.
Sharing an insight into my art practice, I will guide you step by step introducing the many ways this painterly medium of charcoal can be used. The focus will be on process, encouraging expressive and suggestive approaches to drawing, exploring the extent of what can be achieved with charcoal.
With a small group of only 4 participants, each workshop will allow for a personal and informative approach so you can get the most out of this relaxed and inspiring workshop.
FROM THIS WORKSHOP YOU WILL GAIN:
*The sharing of my knowledge, techniques and experience of 40 years of drawing & painting as a professional artist.
*An insiders view into my Studio Practice & tuition from me in a nurturing environment. My enthusiasm for drawing will encourage you to enjoy the drawing process and become familiar with the various drawing medium, techniques and materials.
*A Visual Diary- where we will explore various techniques and gather inspiration to take home with you to continue your drawing adventure.
*An intimate setting in my Studio with a small group will allow for much more personalized attention and opportunities to ask questions and be guided where needed.
*Confidence in exploring various techniques and finding your way to express what is unique to you.
The emphasis will be to bring out your expression and creativity- focusing on the process of working with charcoal and all its possibilities, for me this is where the Art begins!

PS..... If you are coming from Melbourne - The V Line train co-ordinates perfectly as a day trip! Morning train from Melbourne (8.05am - W 11.40am) my studio is a ten minute walk from Warrnambool train station - (W 5.27pm -M 9pm) afternoon train back to Melbourne. Train Bookings essential on VLine website.
